Tattoo Art

I’ve been focusing a lot on tattoo art generation and have learned a lot more since actually getting a tattoo of one of my generations. The most significant lessons learned is that very detailed and large images require large tattoo surfaces. Generating smaller art can be challenging and I’ve often found when using MidJourney, less text is better. Here are some recent results with the prompts.

Prompt #1

For this image, I used the following prompt: druidic inspired tattoo design, simple, medium sized, black and white shading --no arms, skin, background people

What I liked about the result is the size, level of detail, shading and white paper-like background. What I don’t really care for is the influence of the phrase “druidic” on this prompt. I’ll adjust this for the next one but keep mostly the other characteristics of this prompt.

Prompt #2

Prompt: dungeons and dragons inspired tattoo design, simple, medium sized, black and white shading --no arms, skin, background people

From this prompt, the back portion of the prompt is exactly what I was hoping for: smaller designs yet still keeping a good amount of detail and shading. But for this prompt, I don’t necessarily like the focus on the dragon. I’ll adjust this by focusing on specific classes.

Prompt #3

Prompt: dungeons and dragons warlock inspired tattoo design, simple, medium sized, black and white shading --no arms, skin, background people

I think there is promise here. Let’s try the other classes.

Prompt #4

Prompt: dungeons and dragons paladin inspired tattoo design, simple, sleeve tattoo, medium sized, black and white shading --no arms, skin, background people

Now this looks awesome. Let’s try druid.

Prompt #5

Prompt: dungeons and dragons druid inspired tattoo design, simple, sleeve tattoo, medium sized, black and white shading --no arms, skin, background people

I really like this compared to the first one. A lot more Druidic symbolism compared to just the tree.

Overall, I think the second, third and negative statements for the prompt are huge benefits to the prompt. We’ll have to explore more with the primary statement.
